Ways to Workout Without Breaking a Sweat

Brian Kezer studied computer science at George Washington University, graduating with a master of arts in 2003. Outside of his professional activities, Brian Kezer enjoys cooking, playing sports, and working out.

While breaking a sweat is often seen as a sign of a good workout, there are plenty of alternatives for those looking to stay fit without too much perspiration. One option is to focus on low-impact exercises such as swimming or cycling, which can still provide a great workout while being gentle on the joints.

Another option is to try strength training using resistance bands or bodyweight exercises, which require little movement but can still effectively build muscle. Yoga and Pilates are also excellent options for a full-body workout without excessive sweating.

Walking is a great way to exercise without putting too much strain on your body. You can do it anywhere, and it doesn’t cost anything, except the price of some comfortable shoes.

Stretching is another beneficial activity for the body. You can do some simple stretches at your desk or even while watching TV. Just make sure not to overdo it and hurt yourself.

Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. This incorporates extra physical activity into your day without going out of your way. Just take the stairs the next time you go up or down a few floors.
